Untitled[edit]

"Dai TH Flu" and "Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)" mock the music and image of mystical, allegedly demonic bands like KISS, Journey, Pantera, Faith No More, KoЯn or Black Sabbath; "Around The Fur" in particular is a riot thanks to Tufnel's narration about the Druids.

Where did this come from? I removed it because:

  1. It doesn't make any sense; and
  2. The same thing appears on White Pony
I don't have anything new to add, but I find it hilarious that anyone, including the bandmembers, consider Korn or Journey "demonic". Tokerboy

About the genres in the infobox...[edit]

This section have been created due the continuos genre warring in pages related with the band Deftones i found that one editor is heavilly determined with introducing the genre "Nu metal" in numerous articles, i've reverted it's edits because and restored the genres to the ones that due convention Deftones is always labeled because:

  • No verifiable/reliable source has been given
  • The band themselves disagrees with being labeled as such
  • Nu metal and Rap metal aren't the same genre.

I'm inviting the I.P. user to discuss his/her point of view and to provide reaal verifiable refernces, otherwise i'll revert all of his/her edits Massivesquid (talk) 19:25, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cover girl[edit]

"so the band had to find out and track down the woman" - this seems a bit of a exaggeration given that according to various sources (e.g. [ http://www.chacha.com/question/who-is-the-girl-on-the-front-of-the-deftones,-around-the-fur-album here] and here indicate she was a friend of band member Stephen Carpenter. Unfortunately, the source of the article text is a magazine, and can't be found on-line. Jalwikip (talk) 13:00, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Around the Fur[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Around the Fur's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "AMGbio":

  • From Stephen Carpenter: Prato, Greg. "Deftones biography". Allmusic. Retrieved 2007-12-14. {{cite web}}: Italic or bold markup not allowed in: |publisher= (help)
  • From Deftones: Prato, Greg. "Deftones biography". Allmusic. Retrieved 2007-12-14. {{cite web}}: Italic or bold markup not allowed in: |publisher= (help)

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 17:46, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Around the Fur. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
