I should probably warn you... I used to be a physics major, too. Then I joined Wikipedia. Then I failed thermodynamics. Now I'm not a physics major. This is not a strict chain of cause and effect, but it's not completely unrelated, either. Beware, my friend. :-)

(1) I like your username. Only it reminds me of other 'star-'words: starcrossed, starstruck, starlight, etc. (Is startstruck a word? It's nicer than 'moonstruck', because of the alliteration.) Never realised star-words were so pretty....
(2) Your description of the addiction (new user log) was very accurate: it's so clear that it forced me to recognise my own condition; there was simply no room left for denial. Ah well. At least I'm not going to study physics (unlike all 3 of my best friends, who say that 'a lunatic is a minority of one' -- George Orwell's 1984), which might keep me safe, but maybe Isomorphic's observation is not limited to the β-sciences, in which case I'm smack in the danger zone.
Why am I writing this? Mainly because it's nice to receive messages, so I try to offer others this experience. Maybe because I'm a touch too talkative for my own good. I'll stop now.

- (1) Thanks! I've had this name since sophomore year at college; wanted something non-threatening and soft for a writing nickname.
- (2) The addiction is tapering off a bit, but that's probably just exhaustion and the weeklong vacation I just took. Plus midterms are upon me.
