I have removed material from this article as it is from www.dit.ie and is copyrighted. Generally copyrighted material may only be used under specific circumstances, see Wikipedia:Copyrights. As the original material is in the form of a press release please feel free to provide a link to it, this is an additional reason as to why it should not be part of the article as Wikipedia is not a brochure for organisations of eny type but an encyclopedia.

Also DIT was established on an ad-hoc basis in 1978 with origins to 1887, in 1992 it was established in accordance with a specific law, DIT was not established in 1887! Removing the final paragraph which deals with its academic powers, awards and related history is also a bit disingeneous. Djegan 17:24, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)

The faculty section of this article seems like a random selection of lecturers, some part-time, some full-time. Is it supposed to be 'notable' faculty, as in with a public presence? Either way, is 'current' appropriate for an encyclopedia? Staff change constantly. Much of the page is out of date considering DIT no longer exists as an entity.
