Untitled[edit]

I don't agree that Gitln is more mecurial than Chomsky or Zinn. Gitlin publishes dozens of articles. What he seems to do is show he knows what is trendy, for example, people on the right seeking affirmative action by asking for a place on newspaper staffs, and then he carps at the trend. His article really don't say anythng much except to show he disapproves of conservatives and the media. His writing has no infuence at all. It won't change anything. I imagine he gave up trying to change anything a long time ago.

He certainly capitalized on being third president of the SDS in the 60s. He is a darling of liberals and leftists. People seem to question whether he really says anthing of value. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.12.209.105 (talk) 19:22, April 27, 2005 (UTC)

Maybe you should read some of his arguments of how the mass media had warped SDS' motive to understand his stance.
