Fanfiction userbox[edit]

Because you requested it on Wikipedia talk:Userboxes/Ideas, I made a fanfiction userbox. {{User:BDWill/fanfiction}}

TfD on Notability[edit]

Do you know who deleted the No Notability template prematurely with no notices, didn't close the TfD debate, and didn't reflect consensus? -- Chris Ccool2ax contrib. 13:37, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User no notability template[edit]

You requested the SC for the template you put on tfd:

NN This user hates notability and how it is used mercilessly on AfD as policy.

there's a milder version available on the Deletion Review page. -- Chris Ccool2ax contrib. 05:10, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re: Edriss 562[edit]

Thanks for the compliment! I was afraid I might have gone overboard, I'm always hesitant to be bold. Thanks also for correcting me about Chapman being infested. I thought he had only cooperated without being a controller, which he did, but I'd forgotten that Sub-Visser 7 had infested him at one point. Karwynn 18:26, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Drode/Capasin[edit]

Hey! I didn't realize I was not logged in when I made the edits to those Animorph pages.

Although none of the books flat out describe the Drode as being Capasin, descriptions of both the Capasin and Drode as consistent and very similar. Some of these descriptions include multi-jointed limbs, the beak like face, the color and texture of the skin, and, most importantly, the color of the eyes. Descriptions of the Drode and Capasin eyes are extremely alike, especially when both the creatures die, because both set of eyes change color.

So technically, although it does not say the Drode is a Capasin, there is easily enough evidence to deduce the fact that he is one. I am sure that there are more points that I have overlooked.

Animorphs[edit]

You seem to be an active Animorphs editor, so I wanted your opinion of some proposed mergers. I personally think that Hedrick Chapman and Tom Berenson are too short and relatively minor characters - I think they ought to be merged into List of minor humans (Animorphs). Also, the Erek King article seems a little short - should he be merged into the List of minor Animorphs characters? What do you think? Hbdragon88 18:05, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cool. While it is true that Visser One was just a rank and held by two people within the Animorphs continuity, for 45 books it was used to exclusively refer to just Edriss 562. I think naming conventions generally dictate the most knonw name. That's why I moved redirected the Esplin 9466 article to Visser Three, as he is almost exclusively referred to by that name, even when he becomes Visser One. The only notable reference to the name "Edriss 562" is in Visser, otherwise she is refered to as "Marco's mother" or "Visser One". Thus, I'd either favor moving the Edriss 562 article to Visser One or to recreate the article as it was before I redirected it. Hbdragon88 06:14, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My thought exaclty about the species...way too many stubs. That was going to be my next major project after I finished up merging and cleaning up the character pages. They look much better now, but I could still copyedit them up and add all the information I remember. Go ahead and merge the species articles - you have my support. Gedd[edit]

Book #6: The Capture!

When the Yeerk in Jake's head is dying, he "sees" the minds of the previous hosts (Tom, a Hork Bajir, and a Gedd) and he comments "And along with the Yeerk's own memories, I began to see the minds of his hosts. The Gedd who had a name no human could hope to pronounce." It also talks about the fear and bewilderment the Gedd felt a little earlier in the story.

Poor little monkey men. :(

Advertisements[edit]

If you encounter an article which reads like an advertisement, the best course of action is normally to fix it so that it no longer sounds like an advertisement. Alternatively, you could add {{advert}} at the top of the article. Being an ad, however, is not grounds for speedy deletion. Re:Latin userbox[edit]

Thanks for point that out! I've had that up on my page for several weeks, and I've suprisingly never noticed that there were two of the same userboxes...I think I need more sleep >.<. Fabricationary 01:05, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey[edit]

85.166.27.251 here. I made a user like you said, partially because i'm going to do some major changes to the Battle Angel Alita articles in the future.

Animorphs Books[edit]

Just thought I'd run an idea by you; would it be worth moving the Chronicles books from the page for #51-#54 to the Megamorphs/Alternamorphs page? I thought it might be easier if we had all of the "special books" located on the one page. Also, are we able to provide cover images for every book, or does this break Wikipedia copyright? Cheers =) --Matt 08:02, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I'm thinking perhaps a page for each book will work, there's certainly enough content to make the pages meaningful. I've done the page for The Invasion, any comments or suggestions?

Green Day is the worst band in the world. Why dont you try listening to real music by real musicians for a change?

Category[edit]

Thanks for categorizing all of the curret Animorphs books articles - but I have a reqeust. Could you add the sortkey? For instnace, instead of just writing [[Category:Animorphs books]] you'd write [{Category:Animorphs books|Encounter, The]]. Otherwise, all of the books will be categorized under the "T" list. Thanks. Adminship?[edit]

Hello Kizor: I came across you from your expansion of The Attack. You seem to be a dedicated and productive user, and I would like to nominate you for adminship. Would you mind that?--Lkjhgfdsa 21:14, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would. Don't think that I don't appreciate the sentiment in a goggle-eyed fashion, but at the moment it'd blow up spectacularily in our faces. I've been (and still am) involved in some debates where I let things get to me and conducted myself like an idiot. I need to better myself and take some distance from them. In addition I currently risk flunking college if I ramp my Wikipedia commitments up further and, well, I'm just a regular guy! :P --Kizor 14:55, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits[edit]

Your recent vandalism to Canada, Right-wing politics‎, and Christopher Columbus are concerning. Please stop or you will be blocked from editing. Thanks, DoubleBlue (Talk) 01:02, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Looking at your contributions, I saw it was an anomaly and suspected as much. Had the edits continued I was prepared to request a block for a suspected compromised account but, fortunately, it stopped. Cheers! DoubleBlue (Talk) 17:07, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your question on the OR noticeboard (including answer here)[edit]

That would be a descriptive claim about the contents of a primary source whose applicability is easily verifiable and obvious to any reasonable, educated person without the need for specialized knowledge — and therefore not OR. Fair use rationale for File:LifeGen.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:LifeGen.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
