Ed's tomahawk toss[edit]

Even today, the mere thought of Ed's tomahawk toss on the Tonight Show makes me laugh, even though I've probably seen it a dozen times.

Reading about it now, I see that it might have been deliberate, maybe suggested by Johnny Carson, who might have pressured Ed Ames into it.

I suspect that it was a remarkable accident. I really doubt that he could have hit the target in that specific place if he were trying to! Isn't that clip only seen in black-and-white? Mingo, the Man with the Bullwhip[edit]

He did an album, "Mingo, the Man with the Bullwhip", but I don't have a citation for this, just my childhood memory of an album I used to have. Does anyone have more information on this?

Also, his album, "My Kind of Songs", isn't listed in the article, yet, but here's the ebay url for it (scroll down). I don't know if ebay is an okay citation, but there's a picture of this album.

Ebay didn't have the album, "Mingo, the Man with the Bullwhip".

Heritage[edit]

Yakut native DNA is found in a population of Jews mostly Baltic region, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, etc. It is said this Asian tribe descends from Siberia and spread throughout Northeastern Europe. Yakuts are also in Iceland and Scandinavia. Ironically, for this article, Yakuts are connected via DNA to several North American native tribes.
