Fair use in Alicia Masters[edit]

Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

1. The image is used as the primary means of visual identification of a significant topic within the article, the animated depiction of Alicia Masters.
2. The image is a screenshot from a single frame of a single episode of an animated series, which adapts a significant comic book use of the character Alicia Masters.
3. The use of the frame will not affect the value of the original work or limit the copyright holder's rights or ability to distribute the original. In particular, copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the cartoon episode.
4. It is a low resolution image.
5. The image is only a small portion of the commercial product.
6. The character, the story, and the cartoon are copyrighted, and so it is impossible to replace it with an uncopyrighted or freely licensed image.
