Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Jojoplaut, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Your recent edit to 17-Mile Drive[edit]

Unless there is a specfic notable reason cited and verified, your recent addition to this article has been removed. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Thank you. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 17:17, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Major Contributions[edit]

I find your Major Contributions section misleading. Your contributions to the articles listed were not the least bit helpful, and in many cases, constitute vandalism. Any Wikipedian can view your complete contributions list, so only articles that you can honestly claim to have coauthored should be listed on your user page. Your vandalism of 17-Mile Drive is grounds for being blocked from Wikipedia. Your unexplained non-sequitur of commentary about A Tree Grows In Brooklyn was deleted. Your superfluous editing of Professional golf tours did not add anything to the article. The vague adjective “huge” should never be used to describe an amount of money. All amounts of money are relative. US defensive spending would make these salaries look like chump change. Right? But you could also say that the two could not be compared. All in all, I can hardly call these productive contributions, much less major contributions. Also, I would recommend that you check the syntax of user:jojoplaut as it is hard to read, and your CVU tag is contradicted by your actions. --Jesuseatspork 18:14, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I’ll have to agree with jesuseatspork on some of his points. Many of your contributions are unlogged and not very helpful. But don’t worry, everyone stumbles when they first join Wikipedia. I hope this does not turn you off. When I joined, this happened. User:Daniel_Case wanted to delete my dad’s memorial page and I got pissed off. I ended up redirecting it here. I tried to contact jesuseatspork about WP:BITE, but apparently he doesn’t even have a userpage or any notable contributions of his own! Your page is on my watchlist so I can revert any vandalism. Enjoy! --Cocopuffberman 18:30, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

San Jose Task Force Invite[edit]

You have been invited to join the San Jose Sharks task force, a task force under WikiProject Ice Hockey. We are dedicated to improving the San Jose Sharks-related articles on Wikipedia. You received this invitation due to your interest in San Jose Sharks and/or your many edits to San Jose Sharks articles. If you would like to join, please visit the task force page, and add your name to the list of active project members.

Thank you. LegoKontribsTalkM 04:24, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that this task force is still unofficial, and I would like to have at least five members before asking for approval from WP:HOCKEY.

Unblocked[edit]

Per your email to OTRS, I have decided to extend to you the benefit of the doubt and unblock this account. I note that a similar incident has happened in the past and strongly advise you to select a secure password, for suggestions see How to choose a strong password, as it is likely given that should there be another similar incident, your account would not be unblocked again.
