Image[edit]

New image... anyone else think Lyons has a bit of a Barnaby Joyce going on there, or perhaps the other way round? :P Timeshift 00:19, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lyons Cottage[edit]

Perhaps under 'honours' there should also be mention of his previous home in Devonport which is now a heritage building in his honour? I didn't read the full article, perhaps it is mentioned and I didn't check. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TinTin (talkcontribs) 05:09, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lyons Suburb[edit]

Removed the reference to the suburb being named jointly after Joseph Lyons & his wife - suburbs in the ACT cannot be named after living people, and Edith Lyons died 16 years after the suburb was established. Hence - twas named after the PM. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DermottBanana (talkcontribs) 00:25, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Defence Spending[edit]

Australian Historical Statistics suggests that Defence Spending (in real terms and as a % of GDP & Total C'wlth Expenditure) reduced under Lyons until 1938, when it began rising. Put a citation needed where the article claims otherwise. --Dave Earl (talk) 07:04, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
