VfD listing[edit]

Lake Clifton Eastern High School was listed on VfD on 23 November. The result of the debate on 29 November was to keep the page.

  • Another bogus article about an unimportant school. If you'll read the article, you'll see that it even says in the article that the school will soon no longer even exist. RickK 01:33, 23 Nov 2003 (UTC)
    • "Unimportant" is a very subjective critereon to be using (I doubt it being unimportant to the kids who go there). In any case, the article claims it was the largest high school in the US when it opened, which surely makes it notable on some level. The fact that it will eventually cease to exist in its current form isn't really relavent - people die and borders change, but we still have articles on people and countries. I think the article is fine to keep. --Camembert

        • That page has "enrollment" = 2318: I think that means 2318 students enrolled this year, so for total size you need to multiply by number of year groups. Not sure, though. Martin 17:24, 23 Nov 2003 (UTC)

      • How does the physical size (that's the largest claim, not student number) compare to [1] at 43 acres (and 5,023 students in 1998).? This was another 1998 claimant to most students, with 5,000. Jamesday 00:37, 25 Nov 2003 (UTC)
    • We should keep in all the schools that are put up individually at VfD. (and better yet, have them all recorded on a List of schools so we can keep track of them all if our final decision means we have to delete some). That way, if we make a final decision that schools should be kept when we're deliberating on an all-Wikipedia policy that determines which schools are legitimate for Wikipedia articles and which aren't, we won't have to start from scratch all over again on all those schools people worked so hard on in order to get our coverage of schools complete. How big in area is this school?[edit]

The local highschool in Plymouth-Canton MI is 305 acres of land. How about this one?

i work at their now why it is called heritage high and the school is a disgrace to have such beautiful history.

Former Student of Lake Clifton and statement deletion of the Layout Section[edit]

I've typed the layout section from personal experience from attending Lake Clifton in its last 4 years of existence. Many people have actually noted that the school layout is similar to a prison; example: a central core housing administrative offices and radiating from that central core is two smaller buildings which is then broken down to 4 units housing prision cells.
