The Anna Millers' in Japan sound somewhat different from the ones I see in Hawai'i... Mostly regarding the staff... What was the reasoning behind removing the following information and not simply creating a trivia area for it:

Some characters from the video game series Variable Geo (and its anime spinoff) wear waitress uniforms from Anna Miller's during battle, where the restaurant is called "Hanna Miller's".

The character Nanasawa Kimiko from the webcomic Megatokyo works as a waitress at an Anna Miller's restaurant in Tokyo, Japan.

In the anime series Excel Saga, Excel and Hyatt work in a cafe wearing Anna Miller's waitress uniforms.

Anna Miller's in Hawaii[edit]

Just a couple of notes:

1) The uniforms for the Hawaii location (there is currently only one) have changed and seem to resemble their Japanese counterparts. However, rather than pink (like the ones seen in the photos on the external site) they are maroon (like the one in the logo seen in the article itself).

2) The wait staff (while still predomnately female) reflect all age demographics (as opposed to the supposed younger staff of the Japanese locations).

3) I believe the chain actually originated in the mainland U.S. somewhere, but I have to find the source to confirm.

4) In Hawaii, the restaurant doesn't really have any kind stigma attached to it, probably because the waitresses range in age. However, it is known for its breakfast menu (as they serve it all-day), pies (in particular, their strawberry pies), and their hours (open 24 hours). On a personal note, I was actually surprised when I first found out that the chain was associated with certain types of fans in Japan.

5) I'm not sure if the Hawaii location is still officially affiliated with the Japanese ones. They might be, especially considering the current similarity of their uniforms, but I haven't confirmed this.

If someone could help me verify my facts (since I don't want to edit without verification) this would be greatly appreciated.

I want to reply to your third note: I have looked for the company and it appears that it is out of San Francisco, California. I will look for the link, but I do not feel comfortable adding it without knowing more. I do know this much: The logo for Anna Miller's Pies in California look very much like other branding materials used at the Hawaii location. I remember the Sun Valley Mall in Concord California used to have two locations. I do not remember the uniforms. Trivia sections are discouraged under Wikipedia guidelines. However, it seems though this article's trivia section centers around the way Anna Miller's restaurants have been used in popular culture, so I'm proposing the title of that section be changed to "Anna Miller's in Popular Culture" so the trivia tag can be removed Beggarsbanquet (talk) 04:38, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just stumbled upon this article but I just feel whoevers spamming the page with ^{[citation needed]}'s, just get rid of the ones you think aren't true/or replace them saying "generally..." or "typically..." or something like that. You're just contributing to the stereotype of people who use Wikipedia as posting ^{[citation needed]}'s everywhere instead of doing anything. A bit of a flare, I know, but really, this is the most ^{[citation needed]}'s I've seen since...
