Lemma[edit]

Does the name really have a slash in it? RickK 22:48, Jun 9, 2004 (UTC)

Please see the external link. --MerovingianT@Lk 23:18, Jun 9, 2004 (UTC)
OK, thanks. RickK 04:35, Jun 10, 2004 (UTC)

The lemma contains a quotation mark (’) where there should probably be an apostrophe (' or ʼ).—Wikipeditor 17:00, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is an apostrophe. There is no coding difference between that and a single quote. ⟨ʼ⟩ is a combining mark, used for the IPA, but AFAIK not for orthography in general. — kwami (talk) 20:33, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It is an apostrophe, and U+02BC ʼ MODIFIER LETTER APOSTROPHE is the appropriate character. It is not a combining mark, and it is used for orthographies. Gorobay (talk) 16:03, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
