Cover Artwork[edit]

I love this album, but could somebody explain why they chose to use that horribly blown up, pixelated artwork for the cover? The symbol was obviously originally on a white background and just placed over black with little to no editing. I'd swear they wanted it to look that bad. Cale 22:00, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm pretty sure they DID, in fact want it to look pixelated and aliased against a white background. 201.14.230.151 (talk) 00:37, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Theme / concept[edit]

This article lacks information about the narrative theme of the album. Is it a concept album like Operation: Mindcrime before it, or a loosely-themed collection of songs? Is there a narrative running through the tracks? — OwenBlacker (talk; please {{ping}} me in replies) 08:03, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Genre warring[edit]

I noticed in the astounding number of edits that the new editor Category adder amass every day a single-handed crusade to promote his point of view about musical genres, with disregard of other editors' opinions and work and general ignorance of Wikipedia policies and etiquette. The scope of Wikipedia is to promote culture and knowledge writing new articles and expanding existing ones, not just editing infoboxes and cluttering them with nonsense and dubious sources (Template:Infobox album#genre, Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Infoboxes#References in infoboxes). An editor does not delete entire discographies, like he did for Mr.Big for example, just because the articles have not been worked upon for some time. Again, notability on existing articles is usually based on consensus and communication, not on the whim of the last wiki-hero. The references that he inserts copiously in every infobox come from sources that should be selected, read through and understood before using them. Genre warring is unfortunately quite common on the musical sections of this encyclopedia and, in my years working on Wikipedia, I have found plenty of "proud warriors" ready to revert edits a hundred times to prove their point. There is no point! There is no crusade! There is a shared work to improve articles, based on consensus, not arrogance. There are policies to apply to have consensus and talk pages in every article and in project pages for discussing things out. I suggest to Category adder to study the former and use the latter, before applying drastic changes to the work of others. Lewismaster (talk) 17:14, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
