Sith Academy Commandant?

I noticed that Darth Sion looked and spoke like the Sith Academy commandant in KOTOR I. In fact you even meet both of them in the same place inside the Sith Academy. I wonder if this was intentional: were they meant to the be the same person?

Somehow I doubt they are the same- I'm pretty sure that whatever you chose, you ended up killing the commandant (you are referring to the head of the Academy, right?). --maru 16:44, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Minor -ness

I personally think Sion deserves his own entry, since he's one of the major villans in KotOR II. Darth Malak likewise, though perhaps he even more, since he's the major villan, of KotOR I.--Vince Skrapits 08:03, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Darth Sion

When I saw that Most of the Sith Lords Name are often suggested another word. Ex: Darth Traya- Betrayer and Darth Bandon - Abondon, begin to think Sion stands for Scion which has various meanings. 1. a descendant; an heir; as, a scion of a royal stock. 2. A piece of a slender branch or twig cut for grafting. 3. A shoot or sprout of a plant; a sucker.

Hebrew word "Sion" or "Zion" means desert, barren place, that sort of things. Looking at Sion, "desert" is a good way of describing him, I think. 84.84.188.56 21:08, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

Do not forget, the original derivation of 'sion' is from Biblical translations, from the word 'zion'. How that ties in, I do not know. --maru 15:29, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Darth Sion's Personality

While Darth Sion, at first glance, seems to be a typical hateful, power-hungry Sith Lord, there are some interesting points I would like to bring up.

During his training under Darth Traya, Sion grew to hate his teacher because her ways were not completely "dark". It is also possible that because Traya was none too impressed with him, Sion constantly felt condescended in the presence of his Master, something that would be unbearable to any prideful Sith. Despite his hatred however, Sion would genuinely like to live up to Traya's standards, to become a powerful Sith Lord even she could be impressed with (it would take much to impress someone as powerful as Darth Traya). What Sion failed to realize is that Traya did not respect raw, brutal power. He also failed to realize that Traya hated the Force, resulting in him drawing freely upon the Dark Side to convert his pain into power. His reliance on the Force is partly the reason why Traya did not favor him. It was not until the Jedi Exile told him this that he finally realized he could never gain Traya's favor with what he is now.

In closing, Darth Sion hated Darth Traya, but truly wished to earn her favor. However, because he relied too much on the Force, he instead earned her contempt. - Chameleon

Timeline?

The article seems to imply that Sion killed Lona Vash first and then cast out Darth Traya. I believe he (and Nihilus) cast out Traya first and then killed Lona Vash on Korriban because the Jedi Exile meets him on Korriban after finding Vash dead. I dont think Sion would have any reason to return to Korriban after killing a Jedi master there. -- Psi edit

Immortal?

Was sion actualy immortal? I just thought that the reason you couldn't kill him was because you fought him on worlds infused with the dark side and also because his natural restistance to pain. In the original Kotor when you fought bastila she was healed by the star forge, a space station powered by the darkside.Likewise when you fight sion he falls to the ground but then stands back up rehealed. If sion is immortal why does he fall down? If sion was actualy immortal it's funny to think one of the few villians to achieve this coveted statewould commit suicide. --Darth malice 63.226.150.17 22:32, 25 August 2005 (UTC)

All indications are that he was immortal, which kinda fits with the theme of the three Sith lords- Hunger done in by his over-eagerness to fall into a trap, Betrayal by her own apprentice, and Pain by being beaten too many times and receiving too much pain. The dialoge says he was immortal but how reliable is this is unknown. Suffice it to say if he wasn't immortal per se, the Dark side made him pretty darn close. --Maru 22:28, 26 August 2005 (UTC)

Darth Sion's Master

I did not want to change it myself (I am as good at coding as a smoker is as good at quiting) but I have just gotten the Star Wars Ultimate Visual Guide. It states that Darth Sion was actually the Apprentice of Darth Nihilus after they threw out Traya. I have an account just forgot what the name was. So I just wanted to inform you of that.
