Green Zone[edit]

First paragraph sentence 2: "The current assembly is an elected body of 275 seats, in comparison to the assembly under former President Saddam Hussein." - What is being compared? It sounds like a word is missing from this sentence immediately after the comma.

President vs. Dictator[edit]

Saddam was a Dictator. For the purposes of an article about the structure of a government, he was the President. The fact that he was a dictator is best discussed, as it is, in the article about Saddam that I have now wikilinked to his name. Hipocrite 19:24, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mejlis Watani (Majlis Watani)[edit]

The December elections were for the Majlis an-Nuwwab (al-Nuwwab, al-Nuwwaab), often translated as the National Assembly but in the AP translation of the Constitution as Council of Representatives. I believe Majlis Watani was the name just of the transitional National Assembly, I'm checking on that now. --Cam 16:30, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Saddam's assembly: المجلس الوطني (al-Majlis al-Watani)

National Assembly under the transitional law: الجمعية الوطنية (al-Jam`iyya al-Wataniyya) [1]

Council of Representatives under the 2005 Const.: مجلس النواب (Majlis an-Nuwwab)
