Hey, I draftified Draft:Marc 4[edit]

Hey Mkshift, thanks for the Marc 4 article. I initially accepted it, but I moved it back to draftspace. Upon second review (and some prompting from the ever-scrupulous Wikipedian @TechnoSquirrel69, it didn't meet musical ensemble criteria. I'm not seeing many sources on newspapers.com.... but perhaps there are sources in Italian? If you can find any, you can add them and re-submit the draft at Articles for Creation. Also, like I said before, make sure you have in-line citations throughout! Thanks in advance! CrunchydillpickleđŸ„’ (talk) 18:47, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. They mostly did library music and were session musicians, so they weren't well-known or popular to uh, "end consumers" of music. But I think they're notable because they were obviously very well known to important filmmakers who used them; to speak to the criteria you refer me to:
"Performed music for a work of media that is notable, such as a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film" -> they were the group that recorded https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mah_N%C3%A0_Mah_N%C3%A0, which is certainly well known; as well as in many contemporary films including 8 1/2 which basically everybody knew about at the time. (These facts are mentioned in the original Italian article and in the translation.) Mkshift (talk) 20:07, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, the Italian article's discog section also listed the film scores they were on (look for https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_4 -> "Colonne sonore in cui suonano i Marc 4"). Is this what's missing here? Mkshift (talk) 20:58, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
