Woo hoo! My first insult

Regarding your post at the Muhammad drawings article, there is no truth or freedom in those cartoons. Just insults and lies. That is why Muslims are angry at the cartoons and fools like you who support them.

Mohammed cartoons

Regarding your statement on the Mohammed cartoons on the talk page:

This is nothing but a usual Europian hypocricy. Can you say, for example, 'Holocost is nothing but a propaganda!' in your country? Where is your 'freedom of speech'? Jews were killed or not, that is a different story. My point is you cannot even say it in your countries!...:Your point is wrong. Period. Check your talk page.

There's nothing hypocritical about this. Wikipedia is actually run out of the United States where free speech is alive and well. You are allowed to doubt the Holocaust or whatever and show cartoons of Mohammed. I hope this clears that up. --Cyde Weys 22:08, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Buddhism

Coloration of maps and charts

I'm red-green color blind, and would appreciate it if any map you made was not needlessly ambiguous to me. Dark red looks like black to me. Blue plus a little red looks blue to me. Blue plus a lot of red looks almost but not quite like dark blue. Light red looks red to me. As for the green, it's not normally a problem. There is a very narrow wavelengh band that looks green to normals and looks white to me. Almost all the time (grass, trees, crayons, clothing, etc) I see green just fine. However, the green in traffic lights looks dirty white to me. Thanks. WAS 4.250 20:31, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

I see a map of the world with light blue oceans, dark blue US and other countries that "printed caricatures", 1000-5000 protestors marked by yellow in south Denmark, Syria and Lebonon marked by red indicating 5000-10000 protestors.

The rest I'm not sure about. I don't know what the thing in Saudi Arabia is about. I know they had a boycott, but others boycotted too. At first I thought south France was red like Syria and the zero to 500 color was that marking China etc. But after studying it for a while, now I think south France is the 500-1000 color and England is the 0-500 color. I'm not positive, but that last guess is my best guess; but it took a while to figure out.

Suggestion: I think widening the color bar on the chart would help color deficient people like me to "get it" with less struggle. I'm more than happy to help. Thanks for caring. WAS 4.250 14:50, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

• add the color of China to the bar
• as you indicated: other colors than the ones you used for France and Britain would help

China looks to me like what others call light gray (grey), and it looks like what others call light pink, and it looks like the green traffic lights. They all look the same to me. You could put the China "color" on the bar by putting in a section that you do the same "nothing" to it as you did China. Maybe put the bar ON china? WAS 4.250 17:30, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

I once gave a beautiful silver colored card anniversary card to my wife, who remarked what a pretty pink it was. By turning the card at a steep angle so the coating on the surface of the card was all lined up, I could see some red. WAS 4.250 17:37, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

Sorry for the confusion. I was useing ther phrase "color of China" to represent what you now tell me is the color of the "uncolored" countries and just before that told me was grey/gray. Re:vandalism

Hi - thanks for the message. To answer your first question, yes – it is possible to permanently ban an editor. However, your IP editor isn't a candidate for such a ban, at least not yet. There's a difference between a ban and a block; your IP editor has been blocked five times, the most recent being May 15, 2006 for 48 hours, but he hasn't been banned.

He's done some vandalizing today, but has apparently stopped for a while. Prior to today, he hadn't made any edits to Wikipedia since May 24. Unless he starts more aggressive kinds of abuse, he's not a candidate for a permanent ban right now because the blocks are having the desired effect, which is to get him to stop vandalizing.

If you see continuing vandalism, it's better to report it to admin intervention against vandalism than to me or another editor, because I may not see your message for several hours while they'll look into it right away.
