36 hour pit-stops[edit]

It is stated in the trivia section of season 6 that 36 hour pit-stops existed in Ethopia and China. Why not the ordinary 12?

There's usually two pre-determined 36 hr pit stops... for the sake of the contestants and crew. --Madchester 07:20, 2005 Mar 27 (UTC)

Condensing Results[edit]

Now that race 6 is over, should we condense the results to an overall standing (1st, 2nd, etc.) and drop the leg-by-leg table? (See the season 5 page for what I mean.)

I say we should leave the results how they are. I did most of the seasons 1-5 results, and only listed the final results because I didn't think of listing results by leg, and because I didn't have access to the data, or enough patience. But here we already have all the data, so why remove it? It's good for reference. - MattTM | talk 04:02, Mar 24, 2005 (UTC)

Jonathon and Victoria[edit]

Jonathon and Victoria have a lot of info in the post-race section. I think a lot of it belong on the page. What should be in the post-race section are "Jonathon and Victoria have continued to remain well known after the race". Something like that. We don't need all the facts about them. They have Wikipedia pages. TeckWiz is 12 yrs oldTalkContribs# of Edits 20:43, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the Jonathan and Victoria shoving incident was a major part of this season. Yet someone took it upon themselves to remove a paragraph describing the situation. --Mezaco (talk) 05:26, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The information about the Jonathan and Victoria shoving incident is erroneous. It is stated on the page that he shoved her because she was too slow, but he makes comments several times during and after the check in that he was upset because she picked up his backpack, and it should be his decision if he is to leave it somewhere, and if his bag had been taken, it would be his problem. To sum up, he was angry that she took it upon herself to make the decision for him, not that she was too slow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.11.81.228 (talk) 04:23, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Corsica[edit]

I'm just wondering why exactly Corsica gets its own flag. Isn't it just a province/state/whatever of France?174.1.48.24 (talk) 22:34, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sri Lanka[edit]

I feel that there is not enough information regarding this season's visit to Sri Lanka and the natural disaster that occurred between filming and airing. All we currently have in the article is that the trains were damaged. This is kind of really understating the impact that the event had. The episode on Sri Lanka featured a message at the beginning being read by Phil talking about the disaster and dedicating it to those still recovering.

I would add more myself, but I don't feel I'd quite do it justice. 174.1.50.249 (talk) 02:37, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

From a standpoint of a television competition, that really isn't important. We do link to the article on the disaster so that if people want to see what other damage and effects there were, they can see, but from the standpoint of TAR, we really can only say the post-acknowledgement of the event. --MASEM (t) 02:45, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's my point, though. We don't talk about the post-acknowledgement of the event. Nowhere is it stated that the show took a moment to address the disaster. Instead, we talk about some trains that have little connection to the race as being damaged. Basically, what you're telling me is the opposite of what's currently being exhibited on the article. 174.1.50.249 (talk) 06:18, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Freddy & Kendra and Don & Mary Jean at Leg 2[edit]

Shouldn't Freddy & Kendra be placed 7th and Don & Mary Jean place 8th with the 30-min penalty for the car incident? The reason they received the penalty was because Don & Mary Jean moved Adam & Rebecca's bags and car, but wasn't caught at the pit stop. A very similar thing happened in Unfinished Business (season 18) that Flight Time & Big Easy moved Ron & Christina's fanny pack during Leg 3. The difference is that Flight Time & Big Easy was caught just as Ron & Christina was checking in. Their positions AFTER the penalty is reflected in the table, not the positions BEFORE the penalty. I'm going to change it now. Let any discussion begin. Albertdaniel222 (talk) 04:34, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
