Shearing at Birdland[edit]

The allusion by Jack Kerouac to having seen "Old God Shearing" in a 1949 appearance at New York's Birdland nightclub can be found on page 128 of the 1991 Penguin Books edition of On the Road. JCNSmith 02:55, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed with footnoting[edit]

Help, please! My addition about "Shearing Voicing" has been marked "citation needed". It is mentioned in the Wikipedia article on Red Garland, the "All About Jazz" article about Red Garland, and there is an image on Wikimedia illustrating the principle.
