A list of some people we don't have articles on any. Roozbeh 02:54, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep. Look at your Turkish history. These dudes are important. Gerry Lynch 13:25, 20 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Actually we do have an article on Erich von Falkenhayn...and this needs to be cleaned up a lot, but not deleted. Adam Bishop 03:56, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. The subject is interesting and encyclopedic, but we should really be creating articles for individual generals and then adding each of them to [[Category:Turkish generals]], which in turn would get added to [[Category:Generals]]. You'd think that was too complicated, but we've already done it: see Category:U.S. Army generals and Category:British army generals. (Just as an aside, this List of Turkish Field Marshals article is so awful that it ought to be preserved as an example of how not to write an article.) --Ardonik 04:13, Jul 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Things like this are often a good reminder of a large number of individuals who deserve articles. -- Jmabel 05:48, Jul 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Cleanup. What Jmabel said. Ambivalenthysteria 08:02, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • I did some clean up - by the way, we also have an article on Otto Liman von Sanders. Keep, although it's still a pretty minimal article. john k 09:54, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep. Much better now that the formatting doesn't need <pre> any more. Good sample of lists to add BTW, though with 5 entries, it barely merits the title "List of". -- User:Docu
  • Keep. Don't delete lists just because we have Categories. Lists give us red links to aspire to. RickK 20:25, Jul 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • Concurrence- these are useful for us compulsive researchers who come looking for a question to answer when bored! Keep for expansion. Hmm... is there a WikiProject: Organizing Lists and Categories of Military Leaders Nobody Quite Remembers So That They All Look a Little Bit Uniform and Orgnized And, Well, Military? The list[edit]

Shouldn't this list be broken appart into Turkey and Ottoman Empire? I am being bold and doing so. --Cat out 12:06, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
