Yattalunga[edit]

Does anyone know whether Yattalunga still exists as a separate suburb? The 2009 UBD street directory clearly shows it as a separate suburb. However, neither the 2006 nor 2001 censuses appear to recognise it. LordVetinari (talk) 04:43, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know whether Yattalunga still exists as a separate suburb? - Did it ever exist as a suburb? (What is the definition of "a suburb"?)

According to Suburb#Etymology and usage (last paragraph), suburbs are formal locations in Australia.

It certainly still exists as a "locality", "location", "area", "locale", etc. e.g.:[9]: The City of Playford includes the suburbs and localities of Andrews Farm, ... Waterloo Corner and Yattalunga.

Note: Census Districts are NOT identical to suburbs - comparing them is like comparing apples to oranges.

If this hasn't answered your question:

Suggestion 1: Phone City of Playford and ask them what they can tell you. (You may need to "guide" them by strategic choice of questions.)
Suggestion 2: Phone the State Govt Lands Titles office and ask them who the best people are to talk to.
