Datasaab Contracting AB[edit]

A Swedish company "Datasaab Contracting AB" is in the Denied Persons List of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Is it just using the same name or is there a deeper relation? 82.128.240.198 23:46, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is probably related to the so called DataSAAB affair in the authum 1980. DataSAAB sold a civilian air control system to the Soviet Union and it containd some US PCBs. The affair continued until 1984 when Ericsson (then owners of DataSAAB) was fined 32.5 million SEK by the US government. Sweden was also denied to purchase Sidewinder AIM-9L and engines for JAS 39 Gripen. // Liftarn

Date of Datasaab name[edit]

Twice in the article, a date of 1978 was mentioned. For example: "In 1978, Stansaab changed its name to Datasaab." If a bunch of people "Friends of Datasaab" included that in their 5-volume history, then there is something awry. I worked for a London software house in 1975 that was using Datasaab (not Stansaab) D15's to develop applications. All the literature was branded "Datasaab." I'm not sure I couldn't dig up some dated brochures if I try. In 1976, I was a contractor to Datasaab USA in New York City. ExpatSalopian (talk) 14:04, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
