Klondike comes from Tr'ondëk in the Han language spoken in the Dawson City area. It means hammerstone.

I have been reading a lot of Calgary Herald Microfilms from 1897 and 1898, and I noticed somthing really interesting. In some articles and advertisements refering to the Klondike, were spelled Clondyke [1] --Cloveious 03:27, 4 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

From Google Earth, I can see a lot of peculiar crescent gravel formations in Bear Creek, just East of Klondike/Dawson. Is there any article describing their origin or purpose? 98.251.151.63 (talk) 05:41, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
