Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

Shane Kippel[edit]

Hi,

I've noticed some of the fights on the Shane Kippel editing. I'm afraid that Wikipedia is pretty focused on creating a neutral, factual encyclopedia; I don't think it's likely that statements about how attractive the actor is are likely to make it in. They're just not verifiable. Now, if he's been voted as "Canada's Sexiest Actor", or something like that, by a large, well-known publication, that would be something we could put in. (Some of the relevant policies are in Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Neutral Point of View, if you're interested).

You've also mentioned "racism" in some of your edit summaries. Is Shane Kippel a well-known African-American or Hispanic actor? I don't know anything about him (I found this from the deletion votes page), but that would be good information to add.

I think it would be helpful to have more information about modern television series, actors, etc., and I'm glad you're adding articles. I hope you enjoy yourself here. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with (just leave a note on my talk page, or leave a reply here). -- Creidieki 02:21, 17 Sep 2004 (UTC)

POV[edit]

Hi there. I'd like to ask you to stop inserting POV into articles like John Stamos. No matter how cool or sexy he may be, at Wikipedia, we require that all articles maintain a strictly neutral point of view. Any factual edits are certainly welcome, however.

Also, I'll warn you that it is very poor form to accuse people of racism and such for reverting your edits, and will reflect poorly on you if your conduct is ever called into question.

I hope you take my comments to heart. Wikipedia is a very exciting and entertaining project, but it is not the appropriate forum for joke edits (like the one to Ted Nugent) and opinions. I hope to see many constructive things from you in the future! Kairos 05:00, 19 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Commander Keane[edit]

Who are you Boycotthecaf?

In the Talk:Degrassi: The Next Generation page I hinted that you should ease up on pushing your Spinner ideology on others. I also mentioned that I hadn't seen series three of Degrassi since I'm down here in Australia. Then in response you decided to reveal more plot lines from that series. Thanks a lot. Now I feel its your duty to explain who Rick is and why he wanted to shoot Jimmy. And could you tell me what an earwig is? --Commander Keane 14:09, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Rick in the crazy guy that started dating Terri in season 3 and would go on to beat her up. Terri didn't like this, but she is fat, so it's not like she has her pick of guys. Eventually, Rick pushes her and her head falls on a rock, knocking her into a coma. When Rick returns to Degrassi, everyone starts picking on him. Spinner, Jimmy and the Candy Bandits pick on him the worst. Spinner and the CB rig on bucket of tar and feathers to fall on him when he is on stage, ala the movie Carrie. Rick snaps, brings a gun to school and shoots Jimmy. Soon after, Rick dies in a fight with Sean.

Aquaman[edit]

Would you please stop editing the page to include your ridiculous link and rhetoric? Aquaman's status as being so-called "pathetic" is addressed in the paragraph referencing Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld including him in their acts. DrachenFyre 23:35, July 24, 2005 (UTC)

If you continue to vandalise this article you will be blocked from editing. Thryduulf 21:41, 27 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

3RR warning on Aquaman[edit]

Please note that you have reverted at least 6 times in a 24 hour period and have thus broken the three revert rule. Please be warned that if you revert again, you will be blocked for 24 hours. --khaosworks 04:45, July 25, 2005 (UTC)

Aquaman VfD[edit]

Please do not put up bad-faith VfDs. If you persist in these acts of petty vandalism, you will be blocked. --khaosworks 01:21, July 28, 2005 (UTC)

Erm. Too late for that. Already blocked for 24 hours for vandalism, bad faith, personal attacks, etc. --Dmcdevit·t 01:27, July 28, 2005 (UTC)

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked for 3 days for your harassment of other editors, trolling and vandalizing user pages. --khaosworks (talkcontribs) 12:22, August 18, 2005 (UTC)

Your repeated blocks don't seem to be doing any good. Making personal attacks on other Users is unacceptable, please refrain. Zoe 19:23, August 22, 2005 (UTC)

  • He insulted me first. To be fair, you should warn him, as well. That's what we call JUSTICE. --Boycottthecaf 19:29, 22 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • You posted a nonsensical bio on Wiffle0rz's user page. Being attacked first is no justification for vandalism, if that's what your justification was. Fernando Rizo T/C 01:25, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • Wiffle0rz had no information on his user page, and it was doubtful he ever would put anything there himself. I see no reason, then, why we should not imagine what this fine gentlemen should actually be like. I imagined him as a large black man who served in the coast guard and later went on to own several dry cleaners. Who is to say that is not his true nature? Not you, that is for sure. --Boycottthecaf 01:50, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
      • Vandalize again and you'll be blocked for a week. --khaosworks (talkcontribs) 01:58, August 23, 2005 (UTC)
        • Calm down Sachmo --Boycottthecaf 02:02, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
          • Last warning. Any more vandalism, any more personal attacks, and any more racist comments will cause you to be blocked. Zoe 04:12, August 23, 2005 (UTC)

Racist comments? That's fooey and also hogwash. I strongly resent being accused of such things, and feel it is up to Zoe or another administrator to prove gross such statements were made by me, or should apologize for flinging unfounded accusations upon me. This refelcts poorly on Wikipedia management. --Boycottthecaf 15:57, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Don't call others "Satchmo". Zoe 18:11, August 23, 2005 (UTC)
Have a problem with trumpet players, do you? Well, that's your problem to work through, and not mine. Please keep your prejudices out of my talk page. By the way I am black, myself. --Boycottthecaf 18:51, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There is no "management" at Wikipedia. And if you didn't make racist comments, you wouldn't be accused of it. Zoe 05:03, August 24, 2005 (UTC)

I believe your admin powers should be taken away if you cannot behave responsibly. . And I believe you should be blocked from editing if you can't learn how to get along with other people without calling them names. Zoe 05:18, August 24, 2005 (UTC)

I, too, thought that "Satchmo" was meant as a racist slur (and yes, I got the Armstrong reference too, and no, being black doesn't excuse it), although a bit of a non-sequitor since I'm Chinese, so I generally ignored it.
Word of advice, Boycottthecaf? What you need to do to avoid trouble, ultimately, is get along with people, take the high road and not jump on them and insult them just because they disagree with you or hell, even if they insult you first. So far at this point, your edits are still okay (although the latest bit at Digrassi TNG is still POV, in my opinion, but you guys go ahead and discuss it there). I'm still watching, and ultimately whether you will be blocked will be due to any abusive, vandalising or disruptive behavior I've already pointed to; racism as an element of this behavior, if any, is purely secondary. --khaosworks (talkcontribs) 06:25, August 24, 2005 (UTC)
Ah, but then how am I supposed to have any fun here? --Boycottthecaf 00:22, 25 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Who says this is supposed to be fun? :) Seriously, if you don't enjoy the idea of writing an encyclopedia, or providing accurate, factual information to people (and working with them, too!), then maybe you can look elsewhere for fun. Take Uncyclopedia, for example. --khaosworks (talkcontribs) 06:04, August 25, 2005 (UTC)
I'm not leaving no matter how much Zoe wants me too. Besides, if it was not for me, there would be no article on Mac and Me, and them Wikipedia would just be a shithole. Snoochie boochies --Boycottthecaf 07:31, 25 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Where did I ask you to leave? Don't put words in my mouth. Zoe 07:41, August 25, 2005 (UTC)

Refrain from using unnecessary profanity in your edit summaries, or you will be blocked. --DropDeadGorgias (talk) 15:46, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV[edit]

Hi, and thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. In a recent edit to Degrassi: The Next Generation you added this line: "In one of there worst edits, they cut a scene of Spinner's boner, depriving America of this magnificent site." You might want to review Wikipedia's NPOV policy before making future article edits. Thanks. -- Schaefer 05:26, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've been doing alot of editing to Degrassi today, and I have also seen the edit of Spinner's boner, and I tell you it is perfectly neutral to call it magnificent. But if we want to debate this furthur, it would be worth bringing up in the DTNG Talk Page --Boycottthecaf 06:01, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You are sexy.

Okay...I guess it's easily confirmable within a month or so anyway. Bearcat 02:47, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The sex symbols category is for people who are considered sex symbols beyond the fan base of a particular television show. If you intend to add the category again, you need to show evidence that this is the case. And don't even bother trying to recreate a mythical "Sexiest Canadian" poll. You are to post to the article's talk page at least two web URLs which refer to Kippel's sex symbol status, neither of which is a Degrassi fansite. Only objective independent sources such as a recognized entertainment news site such as Entertainment Weekly, or a newspaper such as The Globe and Mail, are permissible.

Note that if you create a false article to support the claim again, you may be permanently banned from editing the site. You may also be banned under Wikipedia's three-revert rule if you add the category again without providing verifiable third-party proof of its appropriateness, and you will definitely be banned if your response to this message in any way involves vandalism or telling me to go fuck myself.

Your edit history leads me, at times, to suspect that you actually are Shane Kippel (not just what you've done with his article, but also the stuff about Spinner's magnificent boner, etc.) If that's not the case, then I'd advise you to look a bit more carefully at why you come across as being so non-objective about him, and if it is, then you need to be aware that Wikipedia does not allow people to write or edit articles about themselves.

Wikipedia is not a place for you to do any random thing you consider "fun"; it's an encyclopedia with rules of objectivity and standards of behaviour. In a nutshell, it's more like school than it is like cutting class with your friends. If fun is more important to you than accuracy and rules, then you might be better off at Uncyclopedia or Everything2. Bearcat 16:17, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey now, don't be so mean, lima bean. --Boycottthecaf 15:58, 31 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Beta world city[edit]

May I ask why you keep adding that Toronto is a "beta world city?" This term is meaningless to pretty much everybody (it only gets 47 Google hits) and seems to represent the POV of only a single very minor group. - SimonP 02:31, 24 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Degrassi TNG Page[edit]

Thank you for your compliment and calm reminder. I thought you were a über jerk until talking to you personally, from the way you use obscenities as your Edit Summary, the 'Spinner Edits' etc. I am aware of the Australian's situation, but they are in the same boat as Americans, just more-so. But the thing is, Americans who have access to wiki.com have found a way around their tv schedule of Degrassi. The d/l it. I think a "SPOILER WARNING! read at your own risk" is in good taste. I believe the wiki page on Degrassi is a good resource and could be great. I would update it with information as long as the episode has aired (or preview like Jiberty), and refrain from using the other *unconfirmed spoilers* at all. How does that sound? Would this work? Thx, Infinare 00:22, 6 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is Chante's surname really Black? and I think Rick deserves main character because he had a major impact on the show for a 'minor character'. And he's had more episodes about him than Hazel. He should be an exception to the Credits rule.

Dear sir[edit]

You are my new hero.

Pointlessness[edit]

I'm currently doing an essay on lead poisoning in ancient Rome, and when I search "lead pipes", being told that your opinion is that they are "the ultimate weapon" is not very useful to anyone.

Maybe I will...[edit]

Crude links[edit]

Quit adding crude links to various articles (Degrassi, Watership Down, Highlights, ect). --DrBat 00:01, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No. And they aren't crude. --Boycottthecaf 05:10, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Fine. They'll just keep on being reverted everytime you post them. And yes, it is crude. Especially your Degrassi page. --DrBat 12:06, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Spam[edit]

Please do not add commercial links (or links to your own private websites) to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. See the welcome page to learn more. Thanks. -- Schaefer 00:59, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What? If the links I put up are commercial than so are just about all the links on any of those pages. And I'm not invloved with any of the sites I link to, that would be way to much time on my hands. Anything I link to is about as useful as any other site in the link section. --Boycottthecaf 01:29, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Umm... you're the guy who runs the Boycott the Caf site...--DrBat 01:40, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
No I'm not. --Boycottthecaf 01:48, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Are you actually serious??? --DrBat 01:58, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. I have nothing to do with the website of the same name. Boycott the caf is a common Degrassi TNG reference. If you feel I am involved with the site, the burden is on you to somehow prove it. Furthermore, it is not up to you to decide what is obscene. --Boycottthecaf 02:00, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
You have the exact same personality as the person on the site, with your obsession of Spinner, the whole "Candy Bandits" thing, your constantly linking the site (including in your profile), ect ect ect. --DrBat 02:06, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Check out the emails that site recieves. Their opinions are hardly unique. I don't know what I can do to convince you I have nothing to do with the site, so I'm just going to say again, I Boycott the Caf the website and me have no relationship. --Boycottthecaf 02:08, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Note to other editors: Boycottthecaf has added (and re-added after his edits were reverted) spam links to the articles Mega Man and Mega Man II. These websites are under the same domain as the links he's been adding to various Degrassi pages. -- Schaefer 03:07, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Spam? For crying out loud, then there are alot of other external links on almost any pop culture page that qualify as spam as well. Most of the links I added have been around for awhile and were acceptable by other editors. DrBrat has a problem with me. --Boycottthecaf 03:10, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I advise everyone to check out btc's Degrassi site.
[1],[2],[3], [4], ect ect ect.
There's a lot more than that, too. --DrBat 03:18, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
And just to add; the Degrassi site is very obscene. --DrBat 01:17, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You were warned. I've reported you. --DrBat 02:50, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. Jkelly 01:00, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please warn DrBat of this as well. --Boycottthecaf 01:13, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not if it's vandalism (which is what adding extremely crude and innapropiate links is). I'm not the only one here telling you this. --DrBat 03:17, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
