I moved "piding" after the range because I thought it made sense to refer to natives of the island after mentioning the island.

Does the number of flightless rail species really belong here? If so, I suspect the place I left that sentence is still not the best place for it. By the way, if those are just the extant flightless rails, we might want to add the word "extant".

I hope "Southwest Pacific" is really right for the range of Gallirallus.

Do we really need to explain the origin of the specific epithet? It strikes me as obvious.
